Nominations are now open for 2017. The aim of the Academy is to support/encourage future athletes who are aspiring to achieve sporting excellence to reach their potential, prepare for challenges and play a constructive part in our society. The Hamilton Academy will begin on 12th May – 30th June. Thames Academy will run on 25th June & 2nd July. Sue Conroy - congratulations on winning the 'Administrator of the Year' Award.  Sue is a graduate of Wilss, achieving the National Certificate in Sport Administration (Level 3) in 2012.  She is currently enrolled on one of our new sporting qualifications - New Zealand Certificate in Sport and Recreation (Community Development) (Level 5). Mike Maguire - Wilss Board of Trustee; also received an award, for twenty-eight years service with Sport Waikato. more

WILSS is due to commence it 2016/2017 'night school style' coaching and administration courses in October. These programmes offer opportunities to enhance and formalise current skills, as well as develop new ones.  They are for people who want to up-skill in their administration/coaching roles, but also need the flexibility to continue working full-time, participate in their sport and gain a New Zealand qualification at the same time.
