Jack started as the WILSS General Manager in April 2018.
His previous role was at Hockey New Zealand, as the Community Hockey Manager for Young People. Prior to that Jack held the conjoined role of Regional Development Manager for Waikato Hockey Association and the Sportsforce Hockey Development Office for Sport Waikato.
Before his move into the sport sector he was the Head of Automotive at Wintec and earlier spent 22 years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
As the School Programme Manager at WILSS Paula's role focuses upon leadership and volunteerism with Primary, Intermediate and Secondary School students as well as community groups.
Her qualifications include BTchg, BEd and PGDip SPLS and a Masters in Sport & Leisure Studies (2015).
Paula has taught at both Secondary and Tertiary Institutions and thoroughly enjoys the interaction with learners and in particular, youth. She is a coach and through this has a passion in supporting and guiding our future leaders through the leadership development programmes she delivers at WILSS.
Katie is the Sport Programmes Manager at Wilss and her position involves co-ordinating, networking and ensuring the high quality delivery of sport programmes throughout the Greater Waikato and Central Plateau regions.
She has been working in the sport industry for six years in a range of roles volunteering and paid. Her passion for sport, has included coaching for several years with a variety of age groups as well as holding committee roles. She has hands-on experience and understanding of the time and effort the volunteers and paid staff put in to help sport get ahead.
Nicola is the the KiwiSport Leadership Development Officer at Wilss.
Nicola is a Sport & Leisure Studies and teaching graduate. She was also a Hillary Scholar whilst at the University of Waikato. She has been involved in sport all her life as a player, representative, volunteer, organiser, team captain/manager for both tennis and squash so has a broad base of experience for this role.
Zelda provides programme/administration support for the Wilss team.
Her experience within the education sector has included 12 years as a Business Administration Tutor for a Private Training Provider as well as managing a community education programme at a local secondary school.
She has a BA (Hons) from Massey University and a Certificate in Adult Teaching.
Jodie is the Community Programmes Co-ordinator and comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge around nutrition and exercise. Her qualifications include BspExSc, and PGDip SpExSci and very shortly her Masters in Sport Exercise Science.
Jodie has been in health and wellbeing for over a decade, she volunteers for Operation Sugar and the Hamilton Taekwon-Do club. Jodie is often found at a local gym taking group fitness classes. She has a passion community education and delivers fun interactive workshops.
Kath is the Sport Programmes Coordinator at Wilss and her role involves working with School HOD's to promote and deliver Wilss programmes. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Physical Education (Otago) and a Diploma in Teaching (Christchurch).
She has lead a large number of volunteer and community projects through her involvement with Playcentre and the PTA at her Children's school. Her passion for education and working with children is reflected in the work she has done for SPACE (Supporting Parents Alongside Children's Education), Sport Waikato and Wilss as a facilitator. She receives a great deal of satisfaction from working within communities to help strengthen connections while building healthy, supportive relationships.
