Waikato Institute for Leisure & Sport Studies

WILSS is a charitable trust delivering a range of programmes to enhance personal development and help build better leaders in the community, in the volunteer sector and the workplace.

Our organisation is registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and our certificates are nationally recognised.  We are also currently rated as a Category 1 organisation by NZQA as our August 2015 review by them.

Since 1989 we have built a reputation for providing a supportive learning environment, first class facilitators and industry contacts across New Zealand.  We have strong relationships with key organisations, ensuring our participants benefit from industry experience, practical skill application and the development of employment networks.

WILSS has active working partnerships with the University of Waikato, Sport Waikato, Skills Active, NZQA and other leading industry groups.

We are in our 27th year of operating and we feel very proud to be still providing volunteer and leadership education to the changing communities of Aoteaoroa New Zealand.
